QMR (Quantitative Measurable Results)

How It Works

We quantify your data, measure it against all areas of your business, make plans, start actions, and measure results.

Step 1 (Quantify): First you will provide data, via a questionnaire, discussion, and maybe some back and forth.  We don’t spend too much time on this; you provide what you have that’s easy to obtain.  We can always circle back if more data is needed.

Step 2 (Measure): From this data, we build a "Report Card" for your Business: This provides a grade for each key area of your business. Some examples are Profit Overview, Revenue and Cost Insights, Marketing Strategy, Operations, Employee Utilization, Forecasting, etc..  

Step 3 (Plan): Now that you have a grade for each area of business, we can start to build a plan for action.  This plan needs to consider what is most valuable, or best bang for your buck. It will be broken down into categories as follows.

·        Effort – What will be required (of me or my company) to start this plan. This would be a general understanding of what’s needed to effectively start and complete a plan for each area.

·        Cost – What will the cost be for each area.  This should be tracked, so you see progress. If its not working, then you stop investing.

·        Time – Tracking progress is crucial to any plan. But you need a timeline and measure as you go. This can be weekly, monthly or quarterly.

Step 4 (Action): The easy part is done, now it requires action.  Some of my experience will be great to you, offering golden nuggets of information.  However, there will be many areas discovered in Steps 1 and 2 you will already know about. This is where psychology, personality, risk adversity, your time and energy come into play. We can discuss this before you start.

Step 5 (Results): Measuring is the absolute key to results. You must measure your plan (goals, even tasks) as you take action, against the results you are getting.  This is 101 data collection and forecasting.  If you are not seeing results in a time frame you expected, then you need to step back and re-evaluate. But most often its clear, and you are simply going through the motions of measuring to “see” your results and know they are in fact working.  Its good motivation, proof and awareness you are on the right plan.
