FAQs

How do I know this will help me?

If you’re stuck in your business, working too much, dealing with turnover, or wondering where your profit went then something’s not working. I don’t offer one-size-fits-all solutions. I help you identify your specific bottlenecks, whether they’re pricing, people, or process, and work through them together.

This isn’t a course or generic advice. You’ll get real, practical steps that are based on your business, your team, and your personality. Most clients start seeing improvement in just a few weeks, not by doing more, but by doing the right things.

Do you work with contractors, trades, or other industries?

My background is 30 years in engineering management, project management, and procurement management for small scale to multi-billion-dollar projects. I also grew up in a small family-owned blue-collar business, with hands-on experience.  I own my own art business as well.

I know how it feels to run jobs, manage crews, and wear every hat in the company. If your business involves estimating, scheduling, supervising, and delivering physical work - we’ll speak the same language.

 What does this cost?

There’s no big program or cookie-cutter package. My goal is to be your outside partner — giving you tools, direction, and accountability where you need it.

Some clients hire me for a short project (e.g., improve estimating or fix onboarding). Others want weekly or monthly support. A typical starting point is a focused engagement around a key challenge: revenue, employees, or operations. We talk first. I listen. If it’s not a fit, I’ll tell you. If it is, I’ll give you a fair, fixed quote for the work, and you’ll never wonder what you’re paying for.

 Is this coaching or consulting?

It’s both. Most business owners need clarity and strategy (consulting), but they also need a sounding board and follow-through (coaching).

I’ll help you:

·       Understand where your business is losing time or money

·       Make smart, owner-level decisions with confidence

·       Implement changes with support and accountability

I’m not here to watch from the sidelines. I’m in the trenches with you, helping you fix things and move forward.

How is this different from my accountant or SBDC advisor?

Your accountant handles taxes and financials. Your Small Business Development Center (SBDC) advisor may offer helpful general advice. But when it comes to estimating jobs, managing crews, training people, or putting out daily fires - they’re not in that world.

That’s where I come in. I bring 30 years of direct, relevant experience in building and running project-driven businesses. I’ve been in your shoes and know how operations, people, and cashflow connect. My advice isn’t based on theory, it’s what works on job sites and in the office.

How much time does this take?

You’re already busy. I respect that. Most of my clients spend 2–4 hours per week working on improvements. That includes time talking with me and applying simple changes that make a big impact.

I help you cut through the clutter and focus on the few moves that matter. This isn’t a side project — it’s an investment in making your daily life easier and more profitable.
